The
Yoseikan Karate Dojo's curriculum is nationally approved by the
Koshin-ha Chito-ryu Karate Federation and the United States Koseido
Jiu-Jitsu Hombu (headquarters).
Adult
Classes (Ages 13+)
Classes consist of stretching; warm-up exercises; basic punching,
kicking and stance drills; non-contact sparring; and the practice
of kata (forms) and bunkai (the forms self-defense applications).
In addition, students are instructed in the joint locks, chokes,
break falls, and ground fighting techniques of Koseido-ryu Jiu-Jitsu.
A basic level of physical fitness is required in order to keep up
with the pace of the class.

Wednesdays, 7:00 - 9:00 p.m.
Sundays, 9:30 - 11:30 a.m. (Advanced Class by Invitation)
Kids
Karate (Ages 8-12)
Students will have the opportunity to learn traditional martial
arts and basic self-defense training and awareness in a safe and
encouraging environment. Classes focus on interactive exercises
and drills that encourage concentration, discipline and overall
coordination for all skill levels to help students improve in the
martial arts as well as other sports activities. By discovering
and enjoying the many benefits of martial arts training, our goal
to help young students build a solid foundation for life-long health
and fitness. Classes run year round with a two-month commitment
per session. Students can join anytime.

once a year fee of $25 is required for membership in the National
Koshin-ha Chito-kai Karate Federation. This membership allows unlimited
access to our South Hills Dojo and entrance to national and local
seminars, clinics, and special training events.

Traveling
NORTH from Pittsburgh on I-79:
Take Warrendale exit #75 (formerly exit 23) on I-79 Northbound.
At the end of the exit ramp, turn LEFT onto Warrendale-Baye Road
(the "Red Belt"). Travel approximately 1 mile to a fork
in the road and take the RIGHT turn onto Pleasant Hill Road. The
Municipal Building is on the right, just past the first bend.
Traveling
SOUTH from Butler on I-79:
Take Cranberry exit #78 (formerly exit 25) on I-79 Southbound. At
the end of the exit ramp, turn RIGHT onto Route 228. At the first
traffic light turn LEFT onto Route 19 South. Continue on 19 South
to the 4th traffic light (intersection with the "Red Belt").
Turn RIGHT at this light onto Warrendale-Bayne Road. Continue approximately
2 miles, passing the I-79 entrance, to a fork in the road; take
the RIGHT turn onto Pleasant Hill Road. The Municipal Building is
on the right, just past the first bend. |
